Spearfishing????????

Question

So im a beginer spearfisher

i know the rules for the sport

but im not sure what type to get

im thinking since im a beginer i should get a pole spear hawian sling type of thing

but how big should it be?

how much will this cost?

if you can find one on divers dirct this would help soo much

Hawaiian SLings are actually kind of difficult to use. I'd look at a good old fashioned spear gun to start with. You'll spend $150 -$400 on one.  It will help you develop aiming and ranging skills before you take up the more difficult HS
