Special Ed Preschool Teachers?

I am thinking of a career as a Special Ed Preschool Teacher for the Deaf and HOH in California. Does anyone have any information or advise they can pass on? I need to know info on certification, tests and what ever else you may know. I already have a B.A .in CAD and I minored in SPED. It would be greatly appreciated.

A mentor is usually given to once hired.  I'd contact the school system ASAP to see what the requirements are so that you could be offered a job.  

We are in different states, but preschool is usually not that specific.  Many states have fully mainstreamed their deaf & HOH kids into regular classrooms.  Others have eliminated special education preschool classroom altogether and are serving them in at-risk four year old classrooms with lower adult-student ratios.  So, definetely ask what changes have happened and what may or may not happen in the next few years.
