  1. I use www.findsounds.com to get sound effects.  If I just want a kaleidoscopic background to look at I use the visual effects on Windows Media Player on full screen on the whiteboard. If I wanted something visual and specific eg leaves  I'd use a projector wheel and make the pictures - you can use acetate with a blank. Otherwise I'm not sure what you want the computer to do - is it pictures or sounds?  If I want leaves blowing around I'd get a wind machine and leaves and do it for real - or a hair dryer or fan if you're at home etc.

  2. Contact MENCAP via the web. They will be able to help.

If not try Home Farm Trust. They have sensory rooms like you describe.

  3. I'm not at school at the moment, it's half term, so I haven't got the full details of the following.

1.Story Sensations:-  software with play scripts and stories.

    2. Inclusive Education catalogue:- Lots of sensory software

    3. Taliesin - Sound effects cds (based in Wales)  http://www.soundnarration.co.uk/schools....

I use all of them. Story Sensations produce some fantastic stuff.

  4. http://www.spacekraft.co.uk/

They have loads of great sensory equipment...if its too expensive its still a good place to look and get ideas of things you may be able to make or buy cheaper locally!
