Since you don't tell us what you consider good food this is pretty much impossible to answer.  But here is a list of romantic restaurants with good food that might help:

Le Colonial on Cosmo place [between sutter and post and between Jones and Taylor] serves Vietnamese food and great drinks in a lush interior with lots of plants and intimate nooks.

Farallon at 450 Post is a great seafood restaurant that is like eating in an undersea garden.

Cortez – in the Adagio hotel 550 Geary – creative California small plates

Millennium – in the Savoy Hotel 580 Geary - vegan food that will amaze even confirmed carnivores

Boulevard on Mission at Stuart serves great food in a beautiful art nouveau interior. It can be a bit on the loud side, but still romantic.
