Question:

Special baby wipes for hands/face - marketing ploy?

I use the swipers baby wipes and have been using them for everything, hands/face/etc, but recently I noticed they have "special" wipes for hands and face. I'm assuming this is just another way to get me to spend more money that I don't have. Opinions?

  1. The ones for hands and face are usually antibacterial wipes and also people seem to buy them for the older kids or even themselves where as baby wipes are more for the bottom or for all over use on babies.  I do have both kinds of wipes just because I like to have the antibacterial wipes for face and hands when we got certain places and baby wipes really won't remove the actual germs say if you were to allow a child to play at a park or indoor play area or if they are crawling around on a dirty floor.

  2. My opinion... Just another way for those companies to make more money.  I use the swipers too and I use them for everything :)

  3. I've bought the anti-bacterial wipes for hands/face and keep them in the car now that my kids are older, they make most of their messes on their hands and faces.

  4. I agree!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I'm assuming your right....I use parent's choice brand and they are really nice.  They are thick and moist, but they do not "pop" up so you have to get each on individually.

Note - Some babies probably can't tolerate the fragrance of swipers on their face....I know I have to use sensitive wipes on Emma...maybe that is the connection.

  6. yes, you are correct, it is a ploy.  i don't even have a baby, yet i  buy those wipes.  it cleans everything.
