Special effects job? (cgi)?

i wanted to know what kinds of classes do i need to take to get a special effects job doing cgi for movies and tv. i already took begining computer programming classes and beginer digital imaging classes at my school. what other classes do i need to take, and what programs should i use for now to just practice cgi? please help digital imaging is the only thing im good at might as well get a job in that field.

Be bold and contact Hollywood movie studios and ask them directly what qualifications are needed.  Also contact network television producers and explain your need for a mentor.  The results might surprise you!  Nothing can happen unless each of us makes it happen.
