Special guns for Mega Man 2?

Question

Can someone please tell me which boss guns work on which boss? Because I've tried some combinations, and the only one that makes sense is Water on heat. I mean, WhyTF doesn't heat work on Grass?

It usually isn't obvious.

Master:  Weapon they are weak to

Metal Man:  Quick Boomerang

Air Man: Leaf Shield

Bubble Man: Metal Blade

Quick Man: Crash Bombs (good luck with this one)

Crash Man: Air Shooter

Flash Man: Metal Blade?

Heat Man: Bubble Lead

Wood Man: Atomic Fire

Special side notes:

Any robot master can be beaten with the default gun, some more easily than others.

Air Man, Metal Man and Flash Man  are good starting targets.  

Do NOT go to Quick Man's stage without Time Stop.  

Quick Man and Wood Man also have special weaknesses.

Quick Man LOSES health while using a time stop.  A fully charge Time Stop will drain half of Quick Man's Life bar.

Wood Man's Leaf shield can be penetrated by Crash Bombs, just shoot the shield with them.  The Bomb will stick and either blow normally, or go off when the shield is thrown.

Also against Wood Man, Fire does kill him, but it won't penetrate his shield.  You should charge the weapon during his entry (when you normally can't move).  Jump his first shield and then let go.  A fully charged Atomic Fire is instant death if you hit him directly.  This requires switching to Atomic Fire before entering his chamber.
