I work for a nonprofit organization and I have a question on how do I go about getting special parking for our vehicles. We use vans to transport children from their school to our facility called ARTS ( A Reason To Survive). The vans are parked in the street and there are other business are in the area which make street parking very hard for our vans. I would like there to be a special area in front of our door for the kids to be off loaded and for the vans to be stationed.

  1. Just call your city manager and speak with him or her and  they will take care of this for you and "dont paint anything" let the city handle this and good luck....

  2. Painting the curb, like the previous poster said, may get you in trouble. Call the city's traffic control department and ask them. If they can't or won't help you then try the mayors office. Most cities will work with non profit organizations, which help children or elderly, to ease problems like yours.

  3. Paint the curb gray and write loading and unloading passengers only
