Specialist Maths in Australia???

Question

I'm currently in year 10 and I live in Australia. I am getting really stressed about VCE! I'm so scared that I'm going to stuff up and disappoint everyone :( I have always loved maths and I have got 95 and over in all my tests this year and last year got a 100% in my exams and 90's. But I don't know what happened to me this year! I nearly failed my maths exam, achieving a score of 55% I was so angry with myself and worried that this would happen in VCE. I want to do Specialist maths nxt year because I do like maths but am not sure if I am good enough for it. I also suck at physics and absolutely despise it, I heard that Spesh and Physics are quite similar. Could someone who has done Specialist help out on the following:

1. give me some advice or any tips

2.a brief idea of Specialist maths in yr 11 and 12 and

3. Should I start studying for Specialist maths now or start nxt year?

4. Are physics and Spesh similar?

Hey I'm doing VCE in year 11 right now

and specialist is only in year 12 i think you should do general maths and also methods, and in specialist you do functions relations , graphs, algebra, calculus vectors and mechanics. Also because units 1 & 2 dont count towards your enterscore i think you should wait until the summer hoildays because year 11 is stressful and it will just effect all your other subjects. I no for sure that to achive the best outcome get a tutor for year 12 and for physics im not quiet sure but i no for a fact spec is way harder also with that 55% score was it because your friends were talking etc to you and if so you cant let them next year because its your furture and its very unlikely that you will be friends with them in 10 years time so just focus on the task at hand and good luck
