Specialized Expedition Sport or Electra Townie 21???

Question

I have gotten my decision down to two bikes now. BOTH feel comfortable. The shops that sell Specialized out here sorta suck as far as willingness to fit properly. The shop that sells Electra is THE BEST service I have ever experienced! But I am sorta leaning toward the cheaper priced Specialized. I dunno - any help out there??

From a purely aesthetic standpoint - I think that the Electra Townie is much, much cooler.

And, you can't beat great service - great service on the sale will likely mean great service for any readjustments, chain or cable tightening or other questions or issues that come up when you start riding.

If you like both bikes and can afford either I would go with the shop that offers the better service.  I have a Specialized and a bike from Electra.  They are both great bikes and I can't say anything bad about either of them.  I would say go for the Electra.  Good service will be worth the extra cost.

i think that buying the Electra is the way to go if you think that the store will follow up with good service.  selling you the right size frame and then fitting it properly can make all the difference. Then you'll need the occasional tune-up, flat fix, adjustment, etc.
