Hello,
I have been asked to investigate the different specific heat capacities of two different metals: Iron and Copper.
In my investigation that I will carry out:
1) Both metals are raised in temperature to 100.0 C, by having the two separate metals placed in separate beakers of boiling water.
2) Then, the metals are brought to two simple calorimeters filled with room temperature water, and we measure the difference in temperature that both the metals made in their respective beakers.
However, I would like to ask ahead of time...how different would the specific heat capacities of iron and copper be?
Using calculations (Q = mc deltaT), how would I be able to find out?
