Specific business term help. Please.?

What is the business term for a firm being socially responsible/ethical only to help their bottom line?

I am not looking for just a word like "hypocritical" or whatever.

This is a specific term in business.

any ideas?

maybe something to do with self fulfilling?

  2. basically, as a corp., their responsibility is to their shareholders. thats the way to put it. no matter what the case, they are there to make profit, and fill the pockets of their contributers. However, corp.'s are responsible to their consumers ethically. it is called "strict liability" to their consumers safety and satisfaction. "due care" states that the company has the upper hand in information, and is hence liable for the safety of their consumers above making a profit.

  3. There are several terms.  One term that is used to describe the way they promote themselves is called "cause marketing."
