  1. I have had a look and found nothing that I didn't already know.

At 11am on the nearest Sunday to the 11th, November, each year, the  United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries hold a Remembrance Service for War dead, the main service being held at the Cenotaph in London where HM Queen Elizabeth lays a wreath on behalf of the people. ..

Other services are held in cities all round the world, but why would there be one in Amman, Jordan?.

WW1 came to an end at 11am on 11th day of 11th, month, 1918 and that is the reason why the service begins at 11am on the nearest Sunday to 11th, November.  .

Sorry if I have missed anything.

Maybe I was being flippant when I answered your question, if so I wish to apologise. .
