  1. Unfortunately party platforms and platform planks are not talked about much on the convention floor any more.  Will probably be the same with the Republicans.

The policies of both Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama (and Sen. Biden) run true-to-form with the standard Democratic party line or platform.  Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton had input into the officail platform.  Adjustments will be made (planks widened and narrowed) as circumstances dictate. (Same for the Rep)

  2. ummm...can't think of any.

  3. None and less than zero if elected as he will have to become a democratic party sheep and follow Congress.

  4. UnAmerican thoughts and values...as well as a wife who is racist.

  5. Further confusion.

  6. That's a good question.

If you look up his record, he is not known to have brought forth any major bills and, on numerous occasions, rather than take a stand, he voted "present."

    See for yourself.

  7. we need change! visit obama's website to learn what he believes! john mccain has voted with bush 90% of the time...that is not change and we definitely do NOT need another bush in the white house!!! Go Obama!!!

  8. ....still thinking.

I hate taxes and love babies, therefore I vote Republican.

  9. None.

    Specifically none.

  10. nada.

  11. Go listen to his speech.

  12. hmmmm well..I found this article on his accomplishments in Illinois.

"Illinois has a law that DICTATES BABIES MUST BE LEFT TO DIE.

That's correct, babies who through miracle survive abortion, MUST be set aside and allowed to die. They MUST NOT be given food, water or even basic human love and kindness.

JUST LEFT ALONE TO SUFFER TO DEATH.

Barack Obama, when an Illinois State Senator, worked tirelessly in leading the way to get this barbaric law passed.

Anyone who thinks this fellow capable of moving to the Center and away from even this most foul, heinous and horrific form of 'abortion', had better think again.

Think again, if he does not want to share with Mr. Obama, the stain of the blood of these Innocents on his hands.

And, think again, if he has any value of his standing in the Eyes of Almighty God.

  13. all the changes will take place after he's elected?

    thats ridiculously optimistic

    and untrue

obama always says what he's gonna do, not how hes gonna do it.

so i guess he could say "when im elected, we will all be able to fly."

and some people would buy it.

  14. The well-choreographed and glitzy convention nights highlighted by the the much-trumpeted acceptance speech followed by as sea of confettis and fireworks show that tried to rival the recent Beijing Olympics :)  Hope voters will not be swayed but consider more the substance.

  15. Speaking for myself and nobody else, I can say that he brings me a renewed sense of hope and inspiration.  I truly believe in the man.  He is smart, patient (doesn't shoot from the hip) and his heart is in the right place.  He represents a new and different kind of leadership, and not the routine vanguard.

As a nation, we mustn't always look to history to create our future.  It takes a new way of thinking to change old problems.  We can't solve old problems with the same mindsets, the same policies and the same way of viewing the world.
