Specifically how does oxygen go into a CELL? (Not Mongolian, or hemoglobin)?

Not how oxygen travles, but how does a cell take in oxygen. Please add details.

  1. The oxygen molecules are smal enough to travel through the cell membrane via diffusion. Oxygen travels down the concerntration gradient. This means that it travels from a place of high concerntration to low, until it is equal.

  2. It is diffusion presure deficet. While the oxygen as oxyhemoglobin is in the blood it has higher DPD as compared to the DPD of cells. So it passively diffuses into the cells from blood to the cells.

    PO2 in blood = 95mmHg,

    PO2 in cells = 40mmHg.
