Speculate on the changes in global temperatures that might occur if Earth had substantially more land area and

i need help answering this question for my science class. id really appreciate if anyone can. thanks!

This is an intriguing question.....if the earth had more land area I believe the earth would be slightly warmer.  If the earth had more land it would absorb more heat because it has a lower albedo then even water does.  Water has a pretty high specific heat which means it will resist changes in temperatures fairly well whereas land will heat up much quicker.  

Also land will absorb the heat and then re-emmit infrared radiation which will further heat the atmosphere.  Water does not give off infrared so this would be a major player in a warmer world
