Speculation on captaincy not ideal says NZ CEO – Cricket News Update

New Zealand Cricket’s CEO, David White, said that the speculation regarding the future of current Kiwi skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/LRPL-Taylor-c1849, is not ideal but added that a final call will be made later in the week.
Despite the Black Caps claiming an impressive Test win over Sri Lanka, their first on Lankan soil since 1998, reports have emerged that Taylor’s relationship with Head Coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mike-J-Hesson-c76286, had reached breaking point during the series.
Hesson was elevated to the coaching role following the resignation of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BB-McCullum-c1129, Taylor’s current deputy.

The Black Caps further remained winless for the best part of the recently concluded tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 before triumphing in the second and final Test to share the series. However, Taylor’s own form has shown encouragement where he has notched up three hundreds
at an impressive average of just a touch under 50.
All nonetheless, will become clear in the coming days after White returns from Dubai where he is attending a meeting held by the International Cricket council.
"It's not ideal anytime you have negative publicity. We're just working through a review at the moment. It was a terrific last test performance, on the field I'd like to think that we're making progress.
"I'm not going to speculate on anything about the review at all, and will be updating you later in the week."
It is widely expected that McCullum will be handed over the leadership if the management decides to axe Taylor. The wicket-keeper batsman has led the side in eight ODIs and 12 T20Is so far in his career but has struggled for consistency over the past couple
of months.
