After the accident which involved Jacques Kallis, the media has alleged that the South African all-rounder was drunk and due to that, he lost control of his car which smashed into a door of a home.
A technician was seen repairing the gate where the accident occurred. He denied having any information about the accident. The technician told the media that the gate had not been damaged badly and there were just some minor damages caused to the gate which
would be fixed within a short time. He further told that he was asked by a friend of his to repair the gate and that is why he was there.
The police also told the media that a neighbour refused to comment on the incident saying that he would not prefer to ay anything regarding what happened on Tuesday afternoon.
A spokesman for the police November Filander confirmed that they received a call regarding the accident and the person reported as saying, “A 35-year-old man allegedly lost control of his Audi and drove into an iron gate at a residential address in the Constantia
area.” Filander further stated that the parties which were involved will be dealt by the police privately.
Filander said, “An accident report will be filed by the person. No injuries were reported and the issue of the damage will be dealt with privately by the relevant parties.” Commenting on the speculation of Kallis being drunk he said, “There was no reason
to suspect that the person was under the influence of alcohol.”
The team manager of the South African team also refused the speculations that Kallis was under the influence of alcohol and Kallis’s agent denied the reports by the media saying, “The media are making this incident bigger than it is. It was a small accident
which has been sorted. Things like this happen. We should just be grateful that he sustained no injuries and is fit to play the next Test match.”
There was a speculation that Kallis had attended a bar which was popular amongst the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 players but the staff of the bar refused that Kallis was there.
