Speech and language problem and shy to talk in college class?

Question

after oversea in sigapore 1994 to 2003

I have be failing english class epecially writing part

it am trying to understand english language

even though i speak english at home

now i am in pittsburgh

got any suggestion?

My daugther who was living in Venezuela (Spanish speaking country)  all her life, now in the states goes to IEP in her high school & English program in the community college pays by her HS. Even though, we try to keep English language at home when we were living ove there. Her English isn't at the same level that suppose to be if she would have grow up here. You should keep study more English, ask your tutor for English course. If you are in college, it may have English as a Second lenguage program, you may go there as an audit student to improve English

Is there any assistance you can get through the college. It would be through student services.

The other option is to do some english language classes.

Either one would help you as it's the writing part you have a problem with.

Try writing stuff down even when you don't have to, to get your english better. Try writing a piece on a book you have read or a movie/tv show you just saw.

Then get a friend to read it (preferabbly an english speaking friend.) They can then point out any errors and could help you.
