Question:

Speech difficulty concern?

I'm crazy. Lmao alright for quite sometime I (and only I) believe I am having way too much trouble carrying a conversation because my face feels heavy and numb, almost as if my mouth doesn't want to function at all. Parents, friends, and 3 speech therapists say I speak perfectly, but to me personally I feel a ton of stress doing so. How or what is causing this?

Note that I am not shy or quite at all, but I'd rather not talk. It's very tiring. I rush sentences usually because it takes all the breath out of me right away. Is it maybe a respiratory condition, or is it all in my head?

  1. Have you shared your concerns with your medical doctor? Are you taking any medications that have possible side effects? I'd check into that first, then look at a psychosomatic response. Do you feel like you aren't being heard? I'm just asking this stuff for you to figure it out on your own. Good luck.

  2. Try talking to someone worth talking to. I get that way when I don't want to talk to the person. It's quite annoying actually. Idk might be something different for you. ^_^
