  1. 180 miles? If the answer is 3.27 hours you're talking a little bit more than a quarter of an hour over 3 hours, so .27 x 60 minutes = 3 hours and 16.2 minutes (3h16m20s).

  2. You haven't listed the speed, but it looks like it was 55 mph.

    180 miles / 55 mph = 3.27272727 hours

    Now you want that in hours and minutes (and seconds perhaps?)

    3.2727 = 3 hours + 0.2727 of an hour.

    Take the 0.2727 and multiply it by 60 minutes:

    0.2727 x 60 = 16.362 minutes

    That's 16 minutes + 0.362 of a minute.

    Take the 0.362 and multiply it by 60 seconds:

    0.362 x 60 = 21.72 seconds

    Here you can round up if you like.

    Answer:

    3 hours, 16 minutes, 22 seconds (approximately)
