A train crosses a pole in 5 second and another stationary train in 20 seconds. What is the lenght of the stationary train in metres, if the moving train is 200 m away?

    If by that, you mean the moving train is 200m LONG, then that means if it crosses the pole in 5 seconds, then each second the moves 40m.

    If it has to pass a stationary train, remember the tail of the moving train has to pass the tail of the stationary train (assuming they're facing head to head)

    So, 20sec x 40m = 800m

    but you must subtract 200m, to count for the moving train's tail.

    So the stationary train is 600m long.
