Question:

Speed Camera Worry?

Ok, I was going well over the speed limit at the time and di not realize that there was a camera under the traffic lights. The speed limit is 35 and /i usually always surpass that and never get caught but this time I was well over the limit by like 20 MPH. I have no front number plate so I don't know if they can catch me. I live in Katy, Texas BTW. I always thought that if a speeding camera was coming up there must be a warning sign before the lights- there was none. Anyway, thanks for any help in advance.

  1. The speed limit is in place for a reason, so you have no excuse for always surpassing this. If it Say's 35 then do no more than 35, it's like sooooo simple????

Why break the law when it is so easy to keep within it.

  2. they take the picture of the back tag.  I do know however they will just mail you a fine and you can't get any points on your license because they didn't know who was driving So most likely if it got you you would have been mailed a picture they don't need to post a warning by law. hope this helps

  3. Most of the time there will be a strong flash when they take the picture. If there was none, the cameras probably are not automated red light cameras; they could just be video detection cameras that sense the presence of vehicles, part of the traffic signal, that have replaced most of the loop detectors in the pavement.

    Please drive safely.
