Speed and stopping distance for a V6 car?

I would like to know that speed and stopping distance of a V6 car, in other words an average road car. This is for a school activity and google is giving me nothing

  1. You should be able to get that kind of information from Road & Track magazine or Motor Trend magazine. Some auto manufacturers might have that information posted in the tech specs of the cars on their websites.

The size of the engine does not matter much.  Most reaction  and braking distances are figured at 1 car length per every 10 MPH.  You can get the information from a DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) training booklet which is usually free, probably in your states DMV website,  and sometimes available in libraries.

  4. A car with a V6 can range from the slowest cars, to one of the fastest cars in the world (Nissan GT-R comes to mind).

    If you are looking for the speed and stopping distance for an average car then the figures look like this:

    0-100 km/h in about 8 seconds.

    Top speed is usually 160-180 km/h

    Stopping distance is somewhere around 35-40 m
