me and my Friend keep arguing about speed vs power he always says speed punches do not hurt so how will i get a harder punch please help Any info/websites

    Your friend doesn't know what he is talking about. The amount of pain that a punch creates is directly related to the amount of force that is put onto it. Speed increases force, increasing pain.

    And the above poster is correct, speed = power. There is not a person in this world who has speed that doesn't have power.

First of all, as an ex boxer with a mighty left (southpaw) I can advise that the power punch is nature rather than nurture, you definately have to be born with this freak. you can practise it daily and perfect it but weights will not make you punch harder, maybe sharper, can I also say Sugar Ray Robinson always said the punches you dont see hurt the most, fact

  3. Speed = power so if you want to punch harder work on your balance and throwing your punches right  by working on the heavy bag perfect practise makes perfect

  4. lift weights.
