Speeding Fine Question ! ?

Hello!

I got a speeding fine the other day... thought it was 40 mph when it was 30 mph (stupid i know). I was in fault and i accept the penelties and points etc. I just have a question about the points really. I read on the net you can ask them to lower the points and increase the fine or something?

Its the points that i could do without so here is my question.

Is there any way of coming to a compromise about the points with the blues and twos?

thanks!

  1. In some states, a driver with many points may choose to attend a "driver improvement clinic" operated by the DMV.

Upon the successful completion of this clinic, points are deducted from the driver's record.

Only one such deduction of driver's license points can be made within any five-year period.

  2. have you considered defensive driving, which clears the speeding ticket off your record without loss of points whatsoever.

If you've already done that, then some places allow for "deferred adjudication" which allows you to use the already taken defensive driving course completion to roll over to this new offense.
