  1. I dont believe you... you would have been arressted for such a speed regardless if the cop was getting off duty. That is a felony!

Thats a loss of your lisence, wreckless driving, driving to endanger...etc.

Your screwed kid....huge fine, and no lisence...

    Best wishes!

  2. You should get a lawyer.  If you didn't just receive a summary traffic ticket with a fine amount for you to send in, it means you're headed to court on a more serious charge than simply speeding.  Probably reckless driving, careless driving, or both.  You could get jail time.  You will most likely get probation.  Reckless driving is a very serious offense, in some states it is a felony.

  3. When you go to court I would recomend it cause he might be able to save you some money cause this ticket wont be too cheap.

  4. Why do you need a lawyer? You broke the law..the tcket should have a price you pay on it. If it doesnt then you need to call the number on the ticket and tell them you need the amount, they will tell you and you send it in. Your lucky you didnt go to jail, you should have...you could have lost control easily going that fast. Shame on you!!!!

  5. That will be several hundred dollars, and you still run the risk of the judge adding a charge of reckless driving. You may LOSE your license as well.

  6. Minimum of Reckless Driving. In which case you'll get a nice fine, court appearance, driving class, and generally a suspended/restricted license.

  7. Well honestly you musta of been caught speeding more than this time if you have no points on your drivers liences eh??

I'd say if it were me, yes I'd get a lawyer and I wouldn't use a public defender they work for the county and state and that will sure make it so your guarnteed to end up in jail..

best of luck.. the real question is, did you learn anything from this?? If you did, thats great..
