Speeding Ticket passing through Virginia?

I got a speeding ticket passing through VA on my way to Maryland. I will not be able to attend my court date and will have to just pay the fine. My question is do I have to go to court to request traffic school? Also, my license is from California and my car is registered in North Carolina. Does the ticket get forwarded to where my license is from or where my car is registered?

Wow, the VA cops must be busy. I just got one passing from NC into VA. As far as your question, I would call the number that is listed on the 'ticket' and ask them.  I do know they won't downgrade it over the phone, you have to show up for court to try to do that.  You could also call your insurance company, they should know the answer.
