Question:

Speeding on motorcycle?

The other day I was riding on a highway. The speed limit was 55mph. I saw a nice stretch of road and there werent any others cars around. I got up to 100 and as i was coming around a turn I saw a parked police cruiser (obviously waiting to come out and get speeders). The moment I saw him I was still doing 100, then began to brake, and as I went past him I must of been doing a little over 70. I looked in my rear views and he wasnt moving at all. Should I be worried?

  1. how could you tell if there was someone in the police car when you were doing 100mph while coming around a turn? if you saw anything, it had to be a blur. anyway the cop was probably asleep or just didn't give two sh*ts. should you be worried? nah...

  2. they rarely pursue Motorcycles.   Seen too many crashes and it is not good

  3. You got away with it. He was probably eating a donut and didn't want jelly all over his shirt.

  4. CBJACK might have gotten a thumbs down, but his answer is still the best one.  If they were going to come after you, they'd have done it while you were on the road.  Kinda hard to catch a motorcycle license plate at 70mph.

  5. If you couldn't tell if there was anyone in it or not, it might have been an empty car. Some police departments park their cars beside highways to make people slow down. I've seen that in my town. If you did see an officer in the car, then he might have just thought he couldn't catch you, and left you alone.
