Speeding ticket...are insurance details checked?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if insurance details are checked by the police during issueing a speeding ticket via speed camera?

i would imagine that they are as all insurance details car tax and mot information is now on the DVLA computer so if you havnt got it you will probably be fined . that will teach you not to drive without any and to slow down.

Yes if the police office has half a brain he or she will and that way hopefully remove you from the road.....

i got a ticket a few months ago and they never asked me for the insurance details but that doesn't mean they can't look into it themselves i don't know because i have insurance :)
