Speeding ticket in new jersey on the turnpike first offence?

I have 0 points on my license i got caught going 80 in a 55 on the new jersey turnpike and it my first offence on my license... is there a way i can pay extra amout of money to avoid points thats what i heard if its your first offence is this true?

  1. The best you can hope for is to go to court and try to plea-bargain your way down to a lesser fine/ticket.. You were 25MPH over the limit, which doesn't bode well for you. I suspect the reason your record is clean, isn't because you are clean, just lucky (up till now).


  2. You may get suspended, and...or.....be made to go to school. You deserve both, clean record or not. 25 mph over the posted speed limit is ridiculous, and deadly. What kind of control do you think you have over a vehicle that is doing 80mph? You are not in control. You are merely aiming it.

    I hope you get fined, points, suspension & school. Wise up. My life is out their too. Not just yours.

  3. Doubt you will get that much speed reduced down. Even people with multiple violations had "clean records" at one time.
