Speedo?!?!?!?

Question

I want a speedo for some reason. Im not g*y. My high school doesn't have a swim team and I dont know where to find one locally. Im a 16-yr. old male. My friends and family shun people wearing speedos. I dont have a car or money to buy one. I dont really need to wear a speedo to the pool or beach. I just want to wear one to like sleep. My parents and friends would never understand why I want one and would never buy me one. What should I do?

you'll soon learn that speedos aren't that confortable. also why not just get a 'jammer' they are speedos in the since that they are tight fitting but they go down to your knees. I don't understand why your parents would shun someone because of it. if you really want one www.swimshop.com.

I think you are putting too much thought into this.  If you prefer briefs over boxers, go ahead and get a Speedo.  If money is a concern, just get another brand.  Target has a pair of swim briefs for $20 (though they're probably not as roomy in the front as you'd want).

As for your anxiety over the whole thing, I think you're over-reacting a bit.  Speedos don't turn you g*y, and you don't have to be on a team to wear them.  Just tell people "I prefer these to board shorts," and leave it at that.  Not many people go out of their way to make a federal case out of it.  But you may want to keep it from  your friends, because high school kids are inherently jerks

I personally hate board shorts because I had the unfortunate incident where they slipped off when I swam laps in my apartment's pool, and trust me, THAT'S more embarrassing.

Earn the money, go to a Sports store and buy one.  Knowing that your friends and family will shun you for wearing one, it will be difficult to find a place where you can do so - of course sleeping is pretty private.   I find speedos to be very comfortable and practical for swimming and sunning - can't say I've ever worn one to bed.

Ask your grandmother to give you a gift card or sell / trade a video game with a friend for the swimsuit.  Help a neighbor cut her yard, run errands, water the plants, take the trash out, house/pet/baby sitte for the $45.00.

If you don't want to swim, you don't need a speedo. If its just for sleeping, try bikini underwear.
