Spell checking?

Why are so many people too lazy to check their spelling when asking or answering a question. Does it really take that much longer?

Actually, it kind of does, since people want to answer more questions or post more questions.

And also, some people believe that others can read their abbrevations and misspelt words...

So, they see no reason to change it.
