We like the Jumpstart series of computer programs. They have different ones for each grade level. Also, there is a website called Factmonster.com that has a TON of educational games on it- all sorts of subjects and topics. You can get some of those magnetic letters too and play a game I play with my kids. I give them the pile of letters and set a timer for 30 seconds. I say a word and they have to find all the correct letters and spell the word with the magnets. They love it! They also like writing with chalk so I have small chalkboards and do spelling practice that way.
