I would like to spend the month of August in France learning french but also earning some money and making new friends!!

I know there are alot of possibilities for Au pairing but I don't know too much about it ( e.g how much money I could earn. if I would have much free time, if I would have much independance etc...)

Also if there are other job opportunities for a student like me!

I have some french but would love to improve on it!

Where are the best places in France to go to for what I require?

Are there French courses available and are they expensive?

thank you!!

  1. Lucky you, I just got back from spending 4 months in France and I would go back in a heartbeat if I could! I really miss it.

I don't have any advice about jobs, because I didn't work when I was there, but I do know a bit about classes. I lived in Dijon and I took classes through the Centre International d'Etudes Francais (CIEF). They have a great program and I know they have some summer ones as well so I would probably check out their website or email them to see what's going on in August.

If you don't go to Dijon, I'd recommend going someplace in Provence... it's beautiful down there and you'll get more speaking practice than in someplace very commercialized (ie Paris). Maybe you want to check out Montpellier or Marseilles or Nice, someplace around there. Lyon is also pretty but it's rather big.

    Bonne chance!
