I am going to paris for 5 days at the end of june, all flights and hotels are being sorted, i am just wondering how much spending money to take? i would only be eating at restaurants at night, and these would be average prices not too expensive. I am wondering how much to take to see sights and explore, taking into account the entry costs of eiffel tower etc. what other landmarks have entry costs aswell?

  1. Hi! I backpacked for 5 days in Paris and spent very little but covered the major attractions like Louvre Museum which we went for free on the first Sunday of the month! And to Eiffel tower tat cost me 10euros to the second floor only; Montmarte to see the Basilica, then walk to the nearby red light district around Moulin Rouge which is also free for sightseeing only; Notre Dame; Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysees free sightseeing (I didn't enter).. just share with you my travel blog on Paris -http://travelerfolio.com . Hope it helps .

  2. Hi, you need 100 €/day,

A menu in a restaurant for the dinner  at night : 50€,

All the Museums tickets and Eiffel Tower are expensive, 10 or 12 € each,

    Welcome in Paris !

  3. Prices:

    Transport:

The Vélib' bike hire scheme was established last year (where you can hire a cycle to ride around for free). There is also the tram and bus. Here is the link to the Wikipedia page of transport in Paris: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_i...

    Sights:

Taking into consideration you may want to shop in Paris (especially on the Champs-Elysees!) you may need a lot of money for sights. Sights you may want to see are:

    Eiffel Tower

    Louvre

    Arc de Triomphe

    Champs-Élysées

    Moulin Rouge

    Montmatre

    Notre Dame Cathedral

    The Catacombs

    Musee D’Orsay

    The Opera House

To find the prices of these you could go to their websites.

Hope I helped and Good Luck in Paris!

  4. Hello,

Here are some prices (for 1 person) you can find in Paris.

Remember not to take all your cash with you. Crime in Paris is quite low but there are still some pickpockets... All ATM here accept Visa and Mastercard as well as most restaurants, hotels, stores and museums...

    Restaurants :

Average prices for a dinner : 20 to 30 euros (without wines and alcohol which are pretty expensives in restaurant).

    Transportation :

The "Paris Visit" pass = unlimited use of subway / RER (train) and buses in Paris and close suburb. Cost 27.5 euros for 5 days

"Bateau Mouche" a little cruise on the Seine river and a nice view on Paris, especially at night...

    Cruising Walk (25 minutes) = 9 euros

    Lunch Cruising (cruise + lunch + drinks, 1h45) = 50 euros

    Dining Cruising (cruise + dinner+ drinks, 2h15) = 95 to 135 euros

Entry costs for popular places (maximum prices, you can have huge rebates depending days, time, your age,...)

Eiffel tower : 12 euros max

Centre Pompidou (modern art) : 12 euros max

Musée du Louvre : 13 euros max

    Musée d'Orsay : 8 euros

Chateau de Versailles + park and garden = 16 to 25 euros

Disneyland Paris : 49 euros max.

I recommend to check the museums websites before visiting to check dates of closure (most museums are closed one or two day a week) or are free at certain dates...

Some monuments are free but you can pay to visit special parts such as the roof of the Arc de Triomphe (9 euros) or the top of the towers of Notre Dame de Paris church (7.5 euros)

Both give you nice view on Paris...
