Spending money to take to Cancun, MX???

Can anyone recommend how much money I should take for my trip to Cancun in May. Im going with my bf and he said not to worry about paying for anything. I want to take money because I DONT want him to pay for everything. I dont know how much to take. And should I take cash or an atm card.

Take an ATM card. Cancun is full of teller machines and the rate of exchange with the Mexican peso is not that bad. However, be sure that your ATM card is VISA or Mastercard (Discover is also accepted at some ATMs).

How long are you staying? Are you staying in a condo or a hotel?

The amount of money you'll need depends on whether you'll be going out to restaurants for every meal, if you'll go partying every night, and if so, how much you drink.

I'd suggest you plan to spend between $60-80 per day, minimum.

all very americanized..atms and such..just watch the fees..it would probably be best to take some cash with ya..or even better travelers checks..like 20s for like 4 oo bucks..just for some spendingmoney..
