The President of the Neapolitan club was questioned the reason for the transfer inactivity of the club this summer; a remark that De Laurentiis feels is not correct.
The Partenopei chief vehemently denied any suggestions of the club being sluggish in the current edition of the transfer window, giving his opinion on the matter.

He went on to state that spending on players is not an issue, but there was absolutely no need to spend for the sake of spending. He stated that he was able to afford the signature of the highly rated Fiorentina star, Stevan Jovetic, but it would not make
sense to buy him. He further stated:
