  1. sure Ireland has wonderful countrysides if you have a car take a drive along the back roads see if you can find a nice bed and breakfast pack a picknic basket and bottle of wine ( hopefully you wont be alone) and find a babbling stream and just enjoy.

  2. Go to Trinity College and see the Book of Kells and then spend the rest of the day lounging around St. Stephen's Green and exploring Grafton Street!  Dublin is a wonderful city--it is impossible not to have an amazing time!

  3. You can spend a couple of days seeing all the wonderful sights in Dublin alone.

    Things not to miss.....

    Trinity College

Book of Kells (in Trinity College)

    Guinness Brewery

    Christchurch Cathedral

    Grafton Street (for shopping)

St. Stephen's Green (near Grafton Street)

    Howth (northern suburb of Dublin)

    Dalkey/Killiney (southern suburb of Dublin)

If you want to go outside of Dublin, my favorite city if Galway on the west coast....only a 3.5 hour drive from Dublin. The scenery is spectacular. If you want to take a 5/6 hour drive from Dublin, go down to Kerry (Waterville, Killarney) for some of the most beautiful coastline and lakes.

Alternatively, travel north from  Dublin. 2 hours north is Belfast and an hour further north on the Northern Coast, is the Giant's Causeway and the rope bridge, both near Ballycastle. Again, incredible beautiful coastline and scenery unlike anything you will see anywhere in the world. On a clear day, you can even see Scotland! If you go north, remember that you will need British Pounds as currency......and don't worry about safety. The people in the north and the most beautiful and welcoming people you will ever meet ( and I'm from the south!)

Have a great trip! Say hi to my peeps for me! I miss them:)
