I recieved two boxes of lenses from my doctor, one for left and one for right. the right eye perscription is -3.00, and the left's is -3.25.

they are both in o2optix lenses.

for the right eye, the foil seal on the lens case says o2optix. for the LEFT eye, it says CIBA VISION SPHERICAL.

the eye doctor said it was fine but i'm a little sketchy. the left eye box also has a green checkmark on it next to the 02optix logo on the side

on the left eye box it says "contains 6 spherical lenses" and the right says "6 contact lenses"

can someone help me understand?

  1. Actually they are the same things. excpet the one with spherical offer the user a much more clearer and sharper image as compared to the older vision. the next differences will be the expired date.

  2. Ciba is the worst company for backorders , so they probably just diverted part of some shipment that was destined for another country, and is packaged a bit differently.

It's fine...we see strange stuff from Ciba often.

Your lenses are both spherical...just different packages.

Note to Alfred...you are thinking of Aspheric lenses. That's a different thing.
