Spice Gold is supposedly illegal in the US?

so says my retail merchandise vendors and so says a lot of web sites. I heard it contains DMT which is the ingredient that is illegal in the US. Yet I know of some retail stores in my area that sell it. Anyone know if it is truly illegal, if it truly contains DMT? Please only answer if you know the truth for sure....no assumptions thank you I appreciate it.
