Spices in Udon?

Are there any good spices that i can add to zest up home made udon and make it more flavorful.

Well, my suggestion would be

Don't add anything to the dough itself, but rather to the recipe you're cooking your udon with.

Like if you're planning to cook your udon to make noodle in soup, then maybe you could add some red pepper flakes, and white pepper.

Or, if you want to stir-fry your noodles, you can add some seasonings such as oyster sauce, soya sauce, dash of worcestire, and some hot sauce if you prefer spicy.
