once they are expired how can I use them

  1. A "best before" date does not mean that they are no good after. It just means that they're not at their prime.


  2. Most dry spices are good for years (if kept dry and uncontaminated). They have expire dates for two reasons. One, governments requires them and establishes by law a maximum. Yes, I know. It doesn't make sense. But nothing government does make sense.

    The second reason is that the manufacturer wants to guarantee that you're getting the best of the product and suggest you to use it before certain date.

  3. They're not really "expired;" they're still edible. It's just that some of their potency might be lost.

  4. put them down to kill ants if you get them in summer

  5. They expire? You don't cook enough! Shame on you!
