  1. Either add some more tomatoes or beans.  If you dont have that then add some beef broth, and if you dont have that..add some water!

  2. Why not just add 1 tsp of chili powder instead of 3 ?

  3. Add sour cream

  4. Add more tomatoes, and a little sugar

  5. You will have to dilute it with the other ingredients. More tomatoes, beans, meat etc.  You will end up having a giant batch of chili but you can always freeze the excess.

  6. use a chili powder with little to no heat.  For example I use a medium hot chili powder.  But you can look for a chili con carne seasoning.  A good one will have chili flavor but very little heat.  If you aren't in a hurry, check out www.penzeys.com.  They have chili powders with different heat "ranges"

  7. you can reduce the amount of Chili powder or

you can add tomato ketchup or

    you can add sugar

but the best is reduce the amount of Chili powder

  8. Is the recipe American or European? The reason I  ask is that Americans use "Chilli Powder" which is not powdered chilli at all. It is a mixed spice containing chilli, oregano, garlic etc used to make the Mexican dish Chilli Con Carne. The rest of the world when referring to chilli powder means pure ground chillies.

Pure ground chillies is called "Cayenne Pepper" in America. This could be why its so hot!

  9. Potatoes

    or

    macaroni noodles

  10. did you already add the chili? if so add more water and more beans maybe a little chocolate to reduce the heat?
