i wish i had a picture of it,and i cannot find it online.

Anyways i spotted this spider on Kelly's Island,it is black and small, its butt is shaped like an upside down pyramid,or diamond. And the pattern is a white lasting triangle(spiraling down). the shape of the butt is like its house or something :X anyways it has short front legs.

that is all i can describe because that's all i remember.

or you could post a picture of your spider.

  2. Kelly's Island Newfoundland or Kelley's Island Ohio?

Either way, the spider you are describing sounds like it is a member of a group known for variation in its coloration.  If it was a house cat, and you had only ever seen tabbies, a tuxedo cat would throw you off.  Reconsider the spider with less emphasis on the markings.
