  1. have you been bit?

dude, definitely get to a doctor.

    those spiders are poisonous.

that's like, my worst nightmare.. lol.

  2. Carli, means ur dealin' with the "devil"  get ur *** 2 a Dr.  ignore it and u may wind up with 1 leg.

  3. Extreme pain. Their venom is neurotoxic. The bite itself does not hurt nor is there any swelling or tissue damage like there is with brown recluse bites. There is extreme pain throughout your body, said to be one of the worst pains known to man, and can last two weeks if untreated. Your spine is where the worst pain is, feeling like your back is broken. Stomach muscles begin twitching uncontrollably. There are plenty of other symptoms such chills and sweating. With that said, black widows are very shy and reluctant to bite. They like dark areas. I've heard of a few bites coming from people's shoes. The widow crawled in there because it was dark and became cornered when someone's foot entered the shoe, causing them to bite. I always shake my shoes out before I put them on! Fortunately, bites are very rare. Black widows are really nothing to fear. Far more people are hospitalized as a result of mosquito bites than black widow bites.
