Spider with Red body and white abdomen?

Question

I live in Bethlehem, PA. In my backyard, I turned over a rock and found a spider with a bright red body and a white abdomen. It was about and inch or so long.

from my experience with spiders it could be a male black widow which is very poisonous so I advise you to not go anywhere near it and if you can ... kill it!!! it could also be a sowbug killer which is harmless. That is all the information I have so I hope that helps

PS: Female black widows are black with a red shape on their abdomen which usually resembles an arrow or an hourglass. Remember their venom is deadly!

That was a Garden Spider. Very helpful to your plants, actually. Don' worry about it, just a species of Gardedn Spiders.
