I have a Spiderling Mexican Redknee

I feed him pin head crickets but crickets are a pain in the *** to take care of

My pet store doesnt sell maggots and i want to try to feed him that

Is it safe if I made my own maggots. What i mean is ill put out a garbage bin in my shed. Fill it up with rotten food. Let the maggots be born and feed them to my Tarantula. Can my Tarantula get ill from it?

  1. type in on google fine maggots that should be what ur looking for

  2. It might get sick. Why not feed it mini mealworms?

  3. Cool man,I've allways wanted a red knee,I have a Chilean rose,in answer to your question....you can feed your spiderling anything small enough for it to overpower,as regard to maggots I wouldn't risk feeding it garbage fed maggots,Bait shops and Tackle shops sell healthy maggots for anglers and wouldn't risk harming fish stocks with toxic bait. I tried mealworms with Huxley but they kept burrowing into the sub-strata before he could hunt them. hope I helped
