Question:

Spiderman Party for 3 year old... ideas please!?

My son is turning 3 in September and we are holding a spiderman party as he is spiderman mad!

We're having a hall and a bouncy castle - spiderman balloons, plates, decorations etc... but I was wondering what you thought about party games.

Do you think children aged 3-4 (and a couple of 5's!!) would be interested in party games or do you think the bouncey castle, music, balloons and food would be enough?

And also - does anyone have any ideas on how to give it a real Spiderman feel to it?!

A funny question to ask I know - but any help would be appreciated!!

  1. What about instead of pin the tail on the donkey, put the spider in his web.  Draw a large spider web and buy a plastic spider - put blue tac on it and the aim is to get the spider on the web with a prize for getting it in the middle.

  2. pass the pascel, musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey... the classics! get them set up, but on the day if the kids are more interested in the bouncy castle just dont do them.. play it by ear, better to be prepared

  3. At that age they just want to run around, although you could try a couple of games like musical chairs or musical statues, if you want to give out prizes!

ELC sell good face paints to do "Spiderman" faces:  white eyes, red face with a few black "webs" drawn on with a brush.  Always goes down a storm, although get green as well as there will always be one who wants to be the Hulk!!!

Might be a good idea to do any face painting towards the end, though - as Bouncy Castle owners aren't too happy when they get covered in face paint, unless you are ready with a damp cloth!!!
