Spiders??????????????

im so terrified of spiders its not even funny. even the littlest one i see.....i just lose it. and i cant even kill it because im so scared of it! and my family thinks im a wimp and they always say "why are you scared? its not gonna do anything" well excuse me for being scared. god made me that way so they just have to deal with it. but anyway, are you scared of spiders like me??

im not scared of spiders but i have a friend who can pick up a snake and other reptiles but he is completly freaks if he sees a bug

God did not make you scared of spiders. People did that to you. I teach people about animals including spiders, and I have never had a two year old that didn't want to touch a spider. They haven't been corrupted by having others teach them their irrational fears. I am not scared of spiders and I have found learning about things makes me less frightened of them. The only thing that learning more about it increased my fear is Humanity.

You are not a wimp.  Google Brown Recluse.  This is one of a couple of venomous spiders in North America.  When you see what a bite from one of these does and show it to your friends your fears will be justified.

Darlin', darlin', darlin'.

I can understand your fear, but nothing, not god or nature, "made" you that way, except for someone or something in your life that has put the fear into you.  Your family is being too harsh on you.

When you learn and understand about something, anything, you will loose your fear.  Your fear is founded upon ignorance.  You're not stupid, it's just that you lack knowledge about spiders.

Remember something:  no matter how big and ferocious a spider may appear, YOU are bigger than even the biggest spider.  You are smarter than they are.  You can outrun even the fastest of them.  You are more powerful.  And, I'm sure you're a lot more beautiful.

So, why be afraid?  

Did you know that we could not exist on this planet if it were not for spiders?  They help to maintain our earth, and keep it healthy and strong.  Spiders help control the insect population by feeding on pests like Flies, Aphids, Cockroaches, Crickets, Termites, Gnats, Ticks, etc., even other spiders.  Would you rather have one little spider in your home, or 100 Cockroaches?

I've worked with many, many spiders in my life, and I can tell you from personal experience, that there is nothing to fear.  Many are quite beautiful, and can be colored in yellows, blues, reds, greens, purples, oranges, pinks, and white.  They are really fascinating once you get to know them.  Did you know that the web filaments of spiders has the strongest tensile strength of anything known to man?

It is natural for everyone to fear something or the other.

Many people find spiders repulsive and scary, yet the majority of spiders are harmless and beneficial.

So let's take a good look at these creatures and address our fears. Consider how much bigger you are than a spider and that spiders probably can't even see you.
